Dick\u2019s Sporting Goods will no longer sell assault-style firearms, will ban high-capacity magazines and will not sell any guns to people younger than 21, chief executive\u00a0Edward W. Stack said Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Stack appeared on\u00a0\u201cGood Morning America\u201d<\/a>\u00a0on Wednesday morning, two weeks after a mass shooting in Parkland, Fla., that killed 17 people and reinvigorated a national debate about gun control. The alleged shooter, Nikolas Cruz, bought a\u00a0gun from a Dick\u2019s store in November, Stack said during the television interview.<\/p>\n

Although the\u00a0weapon purchased at the Dick\u2019s outlet was not the\u00a0one\u00a0used in the massacre, Stack said his company was moved to act.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
